The first version 1982 from Saints and Sinners.
Any Idea of how to get that sound. Also there seems to be a pad in the background in the second half of the first verse. Any Idea?

Hi, I think I saw a sample here on the forum some years ago - just use the search function and look for “Whitesnake” which should give you a couple of links wheee you may find what you are looking for

Re: Here I go again - Organ version (Jon Lord)
The specific sample is for the 87 version, a straight forward piano-pad layer, the old one that the OP is looking after is just a hammond, maybe it's better to search for John Lord drawbar settings instead (884400000 or something like that)Hi, I think I saw a sample here on the forum some years ago - just use the search function and look for “Whitesnake” which should give you a couple of links wheee you may find what you are looking for

Re: Here I go again - Organ version (Jon Lord)
I play it like this:
Drawbars 888555555
Chorus C1
Perc Soft
Rotary Drive 3.2
Reverb Stage Soft 2.8
EQ Bass +15.0 Mid Freq 635 Hz Mid Gain -3.0 Treble +9.0
Master Gain +10.0
Right hand at 4th octave, left hand at second octave with single notes only.
Might be that the Original is a little bit less distorted, but only a very little.
I hate the later „synth string/bell“ version.
The sound in verse 2 that you mention is a synth strings pad, I would say the „A1 The Prophet“ from the nord library plus a warm Chorus 2 effect should get you close.
But on NE2 it’s not easy to have them both at once, you would need a second board.
Cheers from very sunny Germany

Ah yes - I totally forgot that original version from 1982 with Jon at the organ. It's a pity that this version is so rarely played nowalex78 wrote:The specific sample is for the 87 version, a straight forward piano-pad layer, the old one that the OP is looking after is just a hammond, maybe it's better to search for John Lord drawbar settings instead (884400000 or something like that)Hi, I think I saw a sample here on the forum some years ago - just use the search function and look for “Whitesnake” which should give you a couple of links wheee you may find what you are looking for
