Is too much enough?

Post by Deleted User 29658 »

This is a thread for patches with everything switched on.

(Because it’s there) and should be used to give variation and expressiveness.
Welcome and discover my five main reasons to have a Nord Stage 3.
Download them, improve them to make them yours and upload them here.

Or even better; if you have made own patches please upload them here.

Wow. Nice fun challenge and great sounds.
But can you not bundle the programs so all the samples associated will automatically be downloaded?

I believe many of these pianos and samples are already in the Stage 3, so not much other downloading will be needed. I always store new samples in sample locations 250 and above so I know which ones came stock in the Stage 3 versus which ones I added. Take care.

Yes Elias, I want to include a bundel. Problem is that "Program Bundle Selection.ns3fb" with these five patches and samples weights in on 160Mb.
So question is, Is it possible to upload big .ns3fb-files?

A Bundle don't require extra work. An example: When I try load JfrsonStrsSara_W.ns3f then this happends:
Not found: EPiano 1 MK Low Deep 5.3

Search on Google Low Deep 5.3 site:https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries
gives https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... i-low-deep
and there it is: EPiano 1 Mk I Low Deep 5.3.npno (6.1 MB)

In Nord Sound manager, in tab Piano, I choose Sound Down and choose EPiano 1 Mk I Low Deep 5.3.npno and Add to Bank.
And now the Not found is gone and the Epiano is working

The Patch can be found in the same way.
JfrsonStrsSara_W site:https://www.norduserforum.com/

Looks like I don't have this option in Piano samplememory, to put new samples at last places.

Hello, in many cases when it comes to the Pianos, you may already have a different version of the same piano already loaded in your Stage 3 that you can point the program to. I programmed "JfrsonStrsSara_W.ns3f" with the original V5 version of the EP1, but Nord now offers V6 "enhanced" versions EP1 Deep Timbre Lrg 6.0.npno (11.9 MB), a large version with extra velocity-mapping, and a smaller EP1 Deep Timbre Sml 6.0.npno (7.4 MB). Whatever EP1 is in your current Stage 3 will cover it.

When I first got my Stage 3, I replaced all the XL pianos with smaller versions and then added others to have a wider selection available to me. Below is a link to the current list for my Piano section with 45 available Grands, Uprights, EPianos and others, along with the list of programs I have posted with the related pianos/synths. Take care.

My Pianos and Program List as of April 2020 can be found at --> post130083.html?hilit=program%20list#p130083

Well now that I think about it, you are right. Most of these samples would already be in the Stage 3. And handling the bundle may be clunky.

This is a surprisingly difficult challenge, I must say.
So even though I'm curious; take your time.

I have now and then improved these 5 patches for over a year; thus this is not a measure for the difficultness only a result of no deadline.
So, can I do a maxed-out patch in only a few days? Well… obviously yes because a result is here.
But it’s not easy to get several sounds to marry each other and have good balance between them and ensure that all individual sounds contribute to the result in some way, not only light a Led.

This new patch is originally not changed with Control pedal in upper position.
Only difference is the piano sample changed from V5 to V6 and echo is put on Mod-wheel.
When Control pedal is down then more sounds adds, but due to difficulty’s mentioned only subtly.

Here is an Electric Piano that wants to be Steel Drums.

Soundtype on Control Pedal, (and After touch and Velocity).
Echo on Mood Wheel.
For Arpeggiator press Arp Run on both Panels.
Tap the MST CLK button a minimum of four times to set a tempo.
For those of you who have a subwoofer, dust will fell off.

NS3_DxSteelDrm.mp3 is a sounddemo for the Electric Piano that wants to be Steel Drums.

NS3_Steel-Nordi.mp3 demos both DxSteelDrmMWctrlP.ns3f and NordicOverMWctrP.ns3f sounding at the same time.

Daring DX MWctrP.ns3f with its sounddemo NS3_Daring.mp3 is a cleener variant of SnorlingDXMWctrP.ns3f.
