So, if I wanted to post an article-length review of an accessory in the General Nord forum, with several pics to illustrate, is that going too far? Say, in excess of 600 words?

I see no problems of posting also extended reviews on this forum. Just choose the right category (accessories in your case I guess).
Only limitations could be of you were to be the product or seller of the product, in which case you should check the forum rules: http://www.norduserforum.com/forum_rules.php

Actually it's always interesting to read in depth reviews of things that could be interesting for one's own rig or setup.
