80's Journey Synth

Hi All,

I received my Nord Stage 2 Compact yesterday and have had nothing but fun playing with it.

I was hoping someone might shed some light on two things. First, do you all keep a separate folder on your hard drive with your extra .ns2p program files that don't fit on the synth, or does the program itself do that?

Also, does anyone have a synth that sounds like the patch used on Journey's Don't stop believin? I know the song is a little overplayed, but the band I"m in is doing it and I want to come up with a good program with the piano and the synth patch layered, probably using the mod wheel or yamaha fc-7 to fade the synth sound in. Also, I am using the Ernie Ball volume pedal with a quarter inch insert cable for the Organ swell and it is working perfectly, I know some people had inquired about that. I have it set to Yamaha FC7 in the system menu.

Sorry to cram so much into one post! Next time I"ll try to spread it out a bit, but any feedback would be great!

Did you ever get a good patch for Don't Stop Believin?

I am interested in this too - does anyone have the program used in the verses of "Don't Stop Believin"? Someone has to have it - not many cover bands can escape playing this song - haha.

(Just a piano on the low and a synth on the high).

Hi - can you help me? How do I load this programme onto my Nord stage 2? I've used the sample manager before to load new piano sounds but couldn't work out how to load any programmes like the one you are offering?

In the Nord Sound Manager (not sample manager/editor) select the Program section at the top.
I find it usefull to enable Dual View and Organize (to see the free spots).
Then just drag the file into the Sound Manager.
