Cars: Let's Go, Just What I Needed

Here are a couple more patches which can be used for the Cars tunes.

Let's Go has the "talking" synth on the lower split and the string part for the verse on the upper.

Just What I Needed (Cars Synth) is a split also. The distorted sound can be used when playing with another guitar for the stabs, it blends pretty well. The upper split is the synth riff sound. The first synth sound is played with the mod wheel closed. Open it up halfway, and the sound will hollow out for the second synth sound used in the rest of the song.

DJKeys - this sounds amazing but on the high split synth for the end of "Just What I Needed" - the fuzzy portion of the program keeps cutting in and out. Any idea why this might be happening????

Wow, this does not happen to me. The upper split is the synth sound for the verses and riffs. It is not fuzzy, do you have the mod wheel too far forward? Maybe you can post an mp3 for illustration.

yeah tried the mod wheel and it didn't help. It's driving me crazy that I can't figure out what is causing this! I made no edits to your great program....the attacky portion of the sample goes in and out.

I don't think there are any samples in that patch, I will have to check later. There could be the mod envelope affecting attack, turn that off and see if that helps.

If you can provide a sound sample, I will definitely take a look at it, as the sound is still loaded in my Stage 2-

OK, thanks, this is due to the Mod Envelope affecting the filter. I don't think I set the LFO to do anything, but it was a while ago.

It is subtle and I like that effect, but if you don't, just turn off the Mod to 0 in the filter section:

DJ - LFO is set to 0 and it still does it. at 0:09 in the mp3 you hear it switch from the more muted sound to the more attacky sound. this is the change in sound I am talking about. Sorry for all the trouble - just can't seem to figure this one out.

Not the LFO, the MOD in Freq Mod 2 (highlighted in red above). Make sure that control is at 0, then adjust the filter for the sound you want.

I will have to look into it at home on my machine. May take a couple of days for me to get to it though.

I will let you know what I find out.
