v4.02 driver problem still with Windows 11
The new driver "Nord Keyboards Driver Installer v4.02.zip" still does not work with Windows 11 (supposedly Win 11 compatible), especially since we have been waiting for it since the release of Windows 11, it's more than annoying !
Always with the same Windows 11 kernel integrity problem.
For keyboards mainly intended for the stage (therefore in the professional environment) this is not serious on their part.
Does anyone have the reason for all this or a hypothesis?

Re: v4.02 driver problem still with Windows 11
To me it appears that Nord does not want to update its driver to circumvent Microsoft's Windows 11 memory protection. I fixed the issue by disabling memory protection. Search for 'Profiles' in the registry and change the value from 1 to 0. This will allow the Nord driver to install. If you subsequently update the driver you will need to repeat the registry change.

That's too drastic a fix for me. I can't believe that Nord is not addressing this on a priority basis, having musical people make registry changes to make their standard commodity software work is not on. Anyway, thanks for posting this, I was about to post my own experience. At least I know what's going on.

I do agree that having to modify the registry is not the obvious/standard solution.
Not having this fixed in this new release of the driver is clearly disappointing to say the least !

On https://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads ... nd-manager
"The installer will run on 64-bit versions of Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 and will by default install both the v3.x driver as well as the v4.x Nord Keyboards Driver, which is required for compatibility with Nord Grand 2"
> I had never seen this installing 2 drivers at the same time, I don't understand anything about it anymore.

Re: v4.02 driver problem still with Windows 11
have an ns3, this worked for me with the new drivers:
Download the latest driver from Nord (v4.06 as of writing)
1.Uninstall any old drivers and install the new driver.
2.With core isolation enabled, connect the keyboard, you will get the following error:
" A driver cannot load on this device
driver: ClaviaUSB64.sys
A security setting is preventing this driver from loading. You'll need to
adjust you settings to load this driver"
3.With the keyboard connected, go to Device Manager, Uninstall the Clavia 64-bit USB driver and check "Attempt to remove the driver for this device"
4. Disconnect & reconnect keyboard, there will now be an unknown device in device manager
5. Right click on the device -> Update driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> Let me pick from a list.... -> Show all device -> Clavia Digital Instruments.. -> Nord Keyboard -> Yes on warning
6. You should now be able to connect via Sound Manager and/or Sample Manager
Only downside is the OS update tool no longer recognises the keyboard for now.

When I click "Show all devices" it shows only "Clavia 64-bit USB Driver" (the broken one, which the install calls "legacy"!) and it says "Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install."john_k wrote: ↑29 Jul 2024, 16:58 have an ns3, this worked for me with the new drivers:

Also, I will definitely want to update the OS.
Is there any update? Or do I have to disable memory protection? This issue has been known for over 2 years now.

Re: v4.02 driver problem still with Windows 11
It's no longer necessary to change the Windows registry. Instead just disable memory integrity checking:
Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Windows security -> Device security -> Core isolation -> Core isolation details -> Memory integrity (turn it off to use Nord drivers)

Re: v4.02 driver problem still with Windows 11
I've just downloaded the latest driver, 4.08, (although the page says 4.0.4 release 2024-05-21), to upgrade my existing drivers, in the hope that I could avoid having to turn off Windows Memory Integrity etc on Windows 11
In the installation I was offered the following options under Advanced Options and selected those marked with [x] (see the screenshot):
* [x] Remove Clavia drivers
* [x] Install ClaviaWinUSB
* [ ] Install ClaviaUSB64 (Legacy Driver)
This looked like it's removing the old legacy drivers and only installing new ones. Having proceeded with the installation I was able to turn on Memory Protection and associated settings (see the other screenshot)
I haven't tested with my Nord yet

Shouldn´t the new Sound Manager bring the Driver in addition? I had this troubles too on my new Notebook and it disappeares after updating the Sound-Manager...
