NS4 bug (is there a setting for that pedal?)
Any combination of the above
Did you try using a multimeter/tester to see what values you get out of the TRS plug?
Hi Mr. G.,
Thanks for your reply.
As I'm an electronic engineer, I'd like to sketch a model now:
We have a source (pedal) and two different sinks (the 2 keyboards).
When using the source with sink1 (NS2EX) everything works perfectly.
When using the source with sink2 (NS4) I see a non-reliable scenario.
Of course, different Nord Triple Pedals 1 are not perfectly the same and maybe I have one that is on the edge of tolerances: Anyway, it works perfectly with sink1 (NS2EX). Thus is proven that the problem is in sink2 (NS4). In other words: The sustain pedal circuitry (or its software parameters) in sink1 and sink2 are different. I really do hope, that there is no problem inside the NS4 that cannot be fixed by changing SW parameters, otherwise the Triple Pedal 1 is to be seen as not compatible for the NS4.
I hope that Nord is able to get that fixed soon. I already issued a support request.
Thanks
Eumel
