Yeah, the Virus Ti is a monster, but I don't need all that synth stuff, and it has no sampler. I really need strings sounds and some horns.
But the size and all those knobs are great.
I've found a article about the NW, explains a lot of things: http://www.keyboardmag.com/article/clav ... r-08/33947

I like the size of the NW, the knobs, the weight, the way that the sample works, but I was wondering about something else similar to the NW, I'm not talking about price, it's about something similar in features, size, etc...
I'm just looking for options before I buy anything.
I think the only other possibility in a knobby, sample-based synth would be a Roland V-Synth GT.

Well I was hoping that this Namm would bring Wave2 but it didn't. I miss some key features in my Wave and i suppose that someone else too, so i hope we will see Wave2...
When? I don't know! For what you say you'll needed IT IS a prefect solution.

I didn't know that the NW couldn't record a sample on the fly, but it's ok anyway.
I guess I will but the NW when I get the money.
Here is some crazy stuff about the microsampler recording on the fly.
I wish NW could do it too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z-SSxMgvcc

Even though neither the NW or the NE3 (and even the NS2) is a sampler, their sample playback system is great. It´s more of a live performance thing than a gimmick or studio thing. The microsampler is great, that said, I do not think its truly fit for most giging musicians, I felt it is more of a source of inspiration
