Hi all!
As a NS3 owner I did some sample sounds with few or more samples. What I found out is that mapping is somehow limited (or maybe I am missing something).
With "Manual Sample Assign" you adjust "Rootkey" but both "Range Begin" and "Range End" is "n/a" (not available). I'd like to do a sample instrument with just few keys for example in the lowest part of keyboard and all the rest are silent, but (with my knowledge) this seems impossible. In this example now the whole rest instrument is playing the highest sample...
Any help?

Re: Samples mapping
Hi Ecaroh,
I think you have to create a "silent" sample and map this just next to the keys which you want to use for the one you want to sound.

Re: Samples mapping
Hi,
As a workaround I allready thought about using silent sample. Anyway thanks for the link, now I have some useful info how to do it easily and with minor footprint!
But I am still quite puzzled why do we need to use these tricks to make it happen? Does this ”n/a” concern all the Nord models or does some boards allow it? Why there’re these range fields anyway? Is somebody from Nord staff ever answered why it is like this?
