Perhaps i was not clear enough. Not default position... Switch the extern section on, next go to the Midi menu. set it off, then go to the extern menu and choose an appropriate channel USB or MIDI. Now if you transpose, it will be transmitted on the newly set extern channel.

This was your reply that I'd read previously about using the external section to send the midi signal to my other device. Do you remember?
