Request: Spider Murphy Gang - Skandal im Sperrbezirk

Post by MoonMonkey »

Hey there,

I already saw the this in the sample collection:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10840

I tried to combine it with a b3 to get the more or less original sound but I'm not to happy with my mix.

So I wonder if anybody has maybe an alternative program and/or sample? Also, I'm not sure about the "solo" part and the synth there and how to program that.

I would be very glad if anybody could me here :)

Cheers!

PS.:
The song again:

I always just used the Hammond sound.

If you want, you can add a flanger or phaser for the “solo”, but just using the plain organ works fine, and nobody ever complained in about 200 gigs.

I always played this one on my Electro 2. Completely generic — something like first three or four drawbars out, no chorus, no percussion, slow Leslie.

Lower volume for the verses.

For the "solo", I'd just hold the high A, and then add and hold the G, E, D, C, and A, and then dramatically smear down and back up for the second round. The frontman would feature me at this point, and the crowd would eat it up.

Of course, once that "solo" was through, I'd use the crowd attention, immediately add V3 vibrato and switch directly into the intro for "Ich will Spaß" (in G), without pause.

I don't recall this song getting airplay in the U.S. however I can see the appeal. I took a shot at the keyboard sound that every so often has the distinctive filter - this one has the filter on the wheel and the MP3 uses it a bit so you hear the effect. Hope this gives you something to work with, take care.
