Is there a way to turn off the output?
This might sound like a weird question but, i have my S3 connected to my studio monitors and to my earphones. How can I turn off the studio sound without turning off the speakers when I want to do something quiet without bothering everyone else?

You cannot do that from NS3, you should use a studio monitor controller such as the Behringer Monitor1 (or similar) or a small mixer (even just a passive one) between the NS3 and the studio monitors (even if I cannot understand why wouldn't you switch them off when not being used...)

If you get a pop sound when you turn on your monitors then MaxPiano's way is the best way to do it using a mixer.
If your speakers do not pop or make a sound on startup consider a power strip that the speakers are plugged into that allow you to flip a single switch and you do not have to reach around to power them on?

Nord Grand (Yes, I would buy a new one if it was stolen!), iMac 2017, Sennheiser 650, Steinway Model A, Mason and Hamlin Model AA, Piano Marvel: 3D

If you're at a rehearsal or in a studio environment with several other people, it's nice to be able to mute the speakers when you're making some tweaks to a sound or programming one on the fly. It's a quick thing on the Nord, but still annoying for everybody else.
The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…

True analogika, but the situation sounded like a home one in this case ("my studio monitors"), with just the Nord connected directly to the speakers (otherwise, in a normal rehearsal/studio situation it would be just a matter of muting the mixer channel), of course I may be wrong

If you re-direct all sections to output 3/4 in stead of 1/2 it is silent on the studio monitors I presume. Not sure if the headphones still work though. You can give it a try.

only 1/2 outs appear at the headphones, anything redirected to outputs 3/4 will not appear at headphones

Exactly + redirecting on 3/4 loses the global effects.
