Hello All,
I am contemplating purchasing the NW2. I visited a music store today and I know there must be an easy answer to a question I have, but the keyboard guy at the store didn’t know the answer:
So, I was playing 4 programs at once, A,B,C and D. How do I just change the program on one of them, let’s say C. I know I missed something but when I made sure only C had the green light under it, when I changed the program it changed all the others.
Seems the manual is lacking too. Any suggestions of where I can find any thorough tutorials of the NW2? YouTube has some but not one that goes through each and every function.
Thanks so much for the help!
Lastly, do you recommend an NW2? I am an at home studio hobbyist and have a Fantom 88, so I am covered in pianos, organs etc. wanted something more synth like but that has an easy to learn UI. I wouldn’t do a ton of sound design. Mostly will compose
Thanks again

Re: Question on NW2 selecting programs
Hi, Jfish-
A, B, C and D are not programs, they are layers. All four layers are part of a single program. You can change the program using the program dial above the left OLED display. All you have to do to change the sound of a layer is select that layer (its LED will blink) and make the changes you want. Those changes are made using the two knobs in the Oscillator section. One selects the type, the other selects the waveform under that category. In addition you can hit the Solo button and select a layer to hear only that layer while editing.
You have to read the manual in detail and go through each step on the keyboard while reading so that you can understand the Nord Architecture. It is completely different from all of the other workstation UIs from Roland, Korg, Yamaha, etc.
I think the NW2 will serve your purposes. Once you understand the UI, you will see how simple it actually is-
