Hi,

I have an issue with the unison button : every time I turn it off, it will inevitably turn itself on again after a few seconds.

The only solution I came up with is to draw an automation in my DAW in order to keep the unison disabled.

But that's not convenient and I'm planning to use it live with a midi keyboard, so this won't be possible.

Any ideas on what causes this ?

I think it is not a harware problem. like a sticky button or something like that.
Is there any Midi coming in on CC 16?
Try another setting of the Global Midi, like switching to channel 16. Maybe it works...
Or in the DAW, there could be a Midi echo (having a vew seconds latency???)
Is there a Midi Filter in which CC can be filtered out?

Hi Wout,

I don't think it comes from the DAW (Reaper) since this is also happening when the synth is not hooked up the DAW.
Also, I have controlled other hardware synths and this never occured before.

The unit is almost new, so the button itself is not the issue.

I don't know about the midi filter, could you explain that briefly ? ( I'm a pretty basic midi user )

I will try changing the global midi setting though, but I'm afraid that it won't solve the problem.

A Midi Filter is part of the DAW, but as you write the DAW wasn't involved.
A Midi Filter is usefull when strange things happen, like Midi Through echo, etc.
Again, the DAW wasn't involved. Is the Midi cable disconnected also?
When it happens using the synth stand alone, surely the Lead is broken.
If so, better contact a service point.

Are you sure it is the Unison?
I mean, is the synth mono when off and suddenly it becomes stereo?
You can hear this the best using head phones.
When there is no stereo involved and only a shift in frequencies, it can be a rotten pot in the Fine Tune, specially when the pot is set to an extreme value.
It wil be over when set to the middle position (well, almost)

Also, does the Unison LED lit up when it happens?
