How do I leave manual upper/lower activated between presets?

Post by moonpie »

Hi,

I'm having a usability issue with my Electro 4D, if someone can help me.

I've set up some Nord presets with a keyboard split. I also want to use the "manual upper/lower" controls within these presets, and change drawbars mid performance.

Problem -
After I save an organ patch, it disengages the manual uppper/lower lights when I recall the patch. As soon as I hit the manual upper/lower button to engage the lights and control the drawbars, I lose the patch tone I have just saved, and it seems to suddenly jump to the current physical drawbar settings, which is really frustrating.

What I expect, and want to happen, is (as in other nord modes) that when I switch on the manual upper/lower, it should keep my current patch tone, and then if I move drawbar, it is only then that something changes. (exactly like the functionality between the manual up/down modes themselves).

Can anybody help me out? I might be missing something obvious. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

My guess would be that you need to save that sound if you're looking to do what I think you're looking to do then you probably want to use just the performance button I believe Clavia calls it Live, it should save the last setting you used on your Organ,
