Hi, I´m a Wave and Stage Compact Classic owner and I´m a happy man.
The sounds that I´ve ever loved from my favourite bands (Yes, Genesis, King Crimson), now I can play them...
Although, it´s difficult for me to create good sounds using the Oscilator Modulation, in general they became distorted.
It would be useful to share your experiences with this Wave feature.
Thanks.
Diego

Re: Oscilator Modulation
Hello Diego,
The Oscillator Modulation feature is used for creating Frequency Modulation, or Phase Modulation type effects.
The most common example of Frequency Modulation (FM) is the sounds produced by the Yamaha DX series synths of the early 80s.
The most common example of Phase Modulation (PM) is the sounds produced by the Casio CZ series synths of the mid 80s, although they called it Phase Distortion.
Both FM and PM styles of synthesis have proven difficult to program with intuitive results "unlike with subtractive synthesis techniques".
One important step toward getting more pleasing results with FM, or PM in to turn the audio output of the modulating oscillator off, because most, if not all of the important work that the modulating oscillator (OSC 2) is doing is reshaping the waveform "harmonic content" of OSC 1.
There is some good reading found on the net about FM, and PM.
I hope this helps.
Cheers, H
