NLA1 patch; Organ Donors
Hej!
Organ Donors
Creating Analog Polysynth Organs.
The series of simple vintage patches for grown ups continues! Vintage gear was simple.
You could do these types of sounds with the Prophets, Oberheims, Junos and Jupiters.
Here I go through the 9 different organ waveforms available on the NLA1; Load the patch, then select any of these waveforms; Recipe
Organ wave O1 ... O9, + dEt
Detune 0.06
Filter 7.0, LP24, KB track 1/3
A0, D sust, S0 (organ = on/off type of keybed)
Vibrato wheel
Ensemble 5.0 <= nice!
Reverb Stage1 3.0
No Blofeld with Analog Voltage package
/Amicalement

Re: NLA1 patch; Organ Donors
Hej Nate!
Yes, that French guy has got an awesome organ!
Using all four slots, O1 osc (as I do), but sine 1 (does not think that matters so much), LP TB (not critical?) but lots of drive.
And ... the guy can really PLAY!
I made an attempt with a performance where I stacked four different programs (O1 ... O9), added more ensemble & drive. Fat & dirty.
But, the winner is ... Orgue Saturé: Post him on the Tube and ask for the performance/patch?

Re: NLA1 patch; Organ Donors
Wheelmorphing the ensemble-effect speed combined with the organ-models is a great way of achieving "fake" leslie. And just add a touch of distorsion in the filter.

Re: NLA1 patch; Organ Donors
That's a good idea Marlowes. I will ask him hopefully he understands English:)
Performance patches are much harder to emulate unless the video shows each slot in focus and even then it's hard to tell which knobs are relevant (can only determine the assigned LED's, osc config, etc.) I guess that's most of the fun is discovering how to shape these sounds to our ear's delight!
Cheers,
Nate
