Nord lead 4/ 4 Sounds at Once

Post by mobodcubism »

Hey guys,

I just got my Nord Lead 4 Rack and have been playing around with it a bit.. however, i'm having trouble playing only 1 sound at a time. Even though i'm in "program" mode and not in "performance" mode, when I scroll through the sounds, even though only 1 is lit up, all 4 sounds are played at once. Right now, the only way I have figured out to only hear sound at a time, is by setting A, B, C and D to the same program, so that they all play the same sound.

I guess my question is, how do I, when in program mode, set it so that only "A" for example, or only 1 sound at a time, is played?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

The Slot buttons/lights do not control whether a Slot will sound or not. This is determined by midi channel settings. If all four slots are set to the same midi channel, then all four will sound when data is received on that channel. Set the four slots to four different midi channels, and set the Global channel to something else, and you'll get where you want to go.

Thanks a lot!

Would you happen to know how to choose exact midi channels? I'm assuming "Shift" --> "B" is a good place to try and figure it out? (Sorry i'm new to hardware synths.. I've been spoiled by vst's for a few years now)

Thanks for the help :)
