literature / tutorial synth

Post by electrorari1357 »

I am a newby in the synth field...
Any suggestions for useful literature or tutorials on "synths for dummies"?

Thanks a lot,
Rari

It is usually helpful to search the forum. See this thread, which might be what you are after:

Hi Rari,

Nord manuals for synths and Stages (which contain synth sections) contain chapters on synthesis. They are very general, and not all the same, but give good basic understanding. I like the ones in the G2 Modular and Wave manuals especially. Also, there are posts here in the forum with references to a Sound On Sound magazine series of articles (as I recall there are dozens of them) which are very detailed and in depth.

If you really want to blow your brain, check out Roland Kuit's Sound Lab I and II. Completing those courses is roughly equivalent to earning a Master's degree.

Bless,

Pablo
