I am considering purchasing a Nord Electro 2 Rack to use with an 88 key Midi Controller keyboard.
I am concerned that in the E2 user manual there are a few passages like this: "Transpose function will only generate notes that are within the 73-key note range of Nord Electro 2 73, i.e. F1-F7. This means that using the Transpose function for Organ sounds in Nord Electro 2 73 will cause the lowest or highest notes of the keyboard to be silent".
Does this mean that only 73 keys of the 88 key Midi Controller will be functional all the time (not the full 88) or would this limitation apply to only organ sounds, i.e., organ=73 functional keys, non-organ=88 functional keys? I am ok with 73 keys for organ sounds but need all 88 keys for non organ sounds and definitely for piano.

Re: Nord Electro2 Rack with 88 key midi controller
I have found that the pianos play 88 keys if you have them on the driver, but the organ is limited top and bottom. I have used a Williams Allegro with 88 keys, and a Korg SV-1 with 73 to drive the unit. I love the dang thing.
