how to get sounds into nord led 4?

Hi I am a newbe please can you help me? I downloaded the nord sounds dance samples from the website but my lead 4 will not see the samples at all through the sound manager. I have successfully got it to add sounds from the disk and performances but I wondered do I need to reformat the sounds to get them to show up so I can put them into the manager?

Also I have got the sample editor and managed to put a wave file in it, however I can't get the manager part of the wave editor to work so I don't know where or which bank on the nord lead 4 that the wave is goin in to. Do I need an update or something? please can you help me thanks.

Are you sure the Nod Lead 4 can read samples ? I don't think so. You should only be able to import programs and performances.
Anyone with a NL4 correct me!

yea they are programmes provided on the website under the nord lead 4 but they are not showing up is there any software that can convert wave files into programmes? I tried saving a wave from the editor but that wont show up in the sound manager either

Forget the Nord Sample Editor, it is not for the NL4 because NL4 does not support samples... (check the product specifications, actually you may have already checked them before buying.)

You can only manage the NL4 Programs using the Nord Sound Manager.

i know but is there a programme which puts any sample into the programme format that the nord lead 4 uses?

No! Because NL can't play samples nor it can be programmed to generate "any sound" that corresponds to "any .wav", it is a synth i.e a machine with a specific synthesis chain (structure) intended to generate its specific class of sounds

Hi DJ Serenity,

Max is right. The NL4 cannot load samples. It is a straight-ahead synth and does not have sample capability.
