I had quite a journey with this synth, it was my first real synth that I bought 5 years ago. I really didn't know how to programme at all and just used the stock sounds and tweaked them, as a result I didn't realise just what a good synth it really is.
Then one day I discovered a video by the Youtube synth guy I'm sure a lot of you have come across, Jexus https://www.youtube.com/user/Jexus (if you haven't checked him out he does things that most sound designers don't do and I find him seriously inspiring).
After seeing his Nord Lead 2x vids I realised I needed to really get under the hood to get the most out of the synth.
The video below, for me, is a celebration of this keyboard. I have come to adore it and now it tends to be the first creative tool I use rather than my Stage 2 (Or my Waldorf Blofeld). It is recorded straight into a hand held recorder, no overdub - 4 patches in performance mode all tweaked in real time. This is where for me this synth really shines, as a soundscape machine.
Thanks for checking out and love to hear your thoughts and experiences with the Nord Lead 2x!
