salve ho acquistato una nord stage 2

Post by jokyin2 »

Grazie a tutti. :thanks:

Ciao Luca,
No, the sustain/decay of the piano section cannot be changed.
What about releasing the sustain pedal earlier? :)
You can change the decay time in the synth section (Decay of the Amp envelope generator), but that does not affect the piano.

Ciao Luca,

A Mr_G said, the length of sustain of an acoustic piano is a characteristic of the real piano sound, which the NS tries to reproduce as close as possible (on a real piano the sustain can last even 10 seconds or more).

The problem is to use the piano sustain (forte) pedal properly as they teach in piano lessons, avoiding to keep it way down when not necessary (typically you should at least open/close it at every harmonic change).

Consider also that each piano model (in reality even each single piano of the same model) has its own sustain characteristics, so what you can do is to try to experiment different piano samples from Nord Library, till you find one you like also from the sustain length point of view.
