NL4 Set Chord (For Chord Memory) not working

Hi,

I can't seem to store a chord for the Chord Memory function in my NL 4 (Rack).

According to the manual, the LED should show a message 'Set' once a chord has been memorized, but this message does not appear when I try to store a chord.

I followed the procedure in the manual : First Playing a chord, then pressing Shift-Set Chord button, Release the Chord button first, then the Chord, the LED should show 'Set' , but... it doesn't !

Any clues if I'm doing something wrong ?

memory protect is OFF.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

OK. I think I figured out the cause of the problem.

It seems that I have to set my Global Channel to the tracks's channel. My Global Channel was set to channel 16, my midi parts are set to channels 1,2,3,4.

But.. this is a bit of a drag, since I have to change the Global channel to match each track's channel if I want to store, and trigger the chord memory function. i.e. Set Global channel to Channel 3, to store a chord for Part 3. ...etc.

I'm using Cubase 7.5 to drive the NL4 (Rack).

I don't remember i had to do that, my global channel is set by default and i can store chords while editing a slot. I didn't try while in performance mode, but i guess that should be the same ? I use a NL 4r also.

Yep I can confirm this. Chord memory only works on the auto channel. I've reported this to clavia, never heard anything back.
