Problem with 1kb files
Hi everybody! New to the boards there so excuse me if there's a better place to ask this question.
I seem to have a problem downloading sound files for my Stage 2. Every ns2p file I try to download ends up as 1kb and unrecognizable by my Nord Sound Manager. Anybody familiar with this issue or is there something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Hi,
Do you left-clic and select "save-as" ?
What's the downloaded file's extension ?
A ".ns2p" file should be 547 bytes long.

Yes, I am doing all of that. I am having no other issues downloading files from elsewhere, but it seems that ever .ns2p file I download has this problem.frantzkb wrote:Hi,

Have you tried another browser ?
What's the file extension, after download ?
Are you on osX or Win ?

Using Chrome, but also tried it on IE. Both result in the same 1kb file.frantzkb wrote:Have you tried another browser ?

After downloading, the file extension is still .ns2p.
Using Windows 8.
While it's downloading, it says .../547kb, but as soon as the download is done, the file changes to 1kb.

Re: Problem with 1kb files
Hi Dubbs,
I think perhaps you are mistaken -- while downloading it says 547bytes, not kilobytes. Programs are not memory intensive things, requiring only minimal info to designate panel knob and button settings. This is perfectly normal. The 547bytes figure is rounded off to 1kb for some display purposes.
The things which consume significant amounts of memory on the NS2 are pianos and samples, .npno and .nsmp files respectively.
Bless,
Pablo

Right and (Dubbs) remember that .ns2p are "Programs" so in the Nord Sound Manager you must be in the Programs tab to load them, not in the Piano or Sample or Synth ones.
