Repair Dead Key

Post by jjdnord »

Hello All,

I have a dead key on my Nord Stage 2 76. I was thinking about opening up the unit to repair it myself, and looked through the forum, but only found diagrams on opening up the Stage EX. Does anyone know if there is a diagram/video of cleaning contacts for a Stage 2?

Thanks.

Hi jjdnord

I opened my Stage2 88HA on monday because of two keys were suffering from the "velocity-issue".

I used the EX pdf you mentioned and it worked with it.... not so many differences.

When it came to the keybed, I had to remove 20 screws more to reach the contacts which aren't in the PDF. But I'm not sure if only the HA has this additional screws.

Be sure to buy some compressed air (excuse my english) in advance so you don^t have to touch the sensors. Also a good sorted screw-driver set will help because the interchangeable bits are to fat to reach some screws.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I took my Nord to the authorized repair person, and he told me that it was a broken hinge.....
