I know there have been several posts about different types of active speakers and which one(s) seem to be the most popular with Nord owners. I was just wondering if anyone has compared the QSC K series to the QSC KW series. I presently own a K10 and I'm pretty happy with it overall. I do notice at louder volumes it tends to get a bit "honky" if you will, with the acoustic pianos. The wood cabinet would probably alleviate that. However, the wood series doesn't come in a 10", the smallest it comes is a 12" and is considerably heavier than the K10. The K10 is 32 lbs and the KW122 is 49 lbs. Has anyone actually tried both speakers and compared them? If so, is there a considerable difference between the sound? The K10 is $750 (US) and the KW122 is $1100 (US), which is also something to consider. Thanks for your opinions.
