Nord PK-27 long enough for toe heel?

Hi,
I still cannot decided between a modified Old hammond pedal and the PK-27, the size and the weight of it is in his favor....but my shoe size is 8.5 is the length of the PK-27 is long enough for the toe heel technique?

Hi, I can say that as a pro 'Heel-Toe' player, with size 13 shoes, that the pedal length is more than adequate. No problems at all, and the 16kg weight is wonderful for lugging to a gig.

Yeah, there's plenty of length for heel & toe, but what I found when I finally got my kit all together is that it was quite hard to get the manuals, bench and pedals all in the right spatial relationship for it to work well. With the proviso that I haven't played pedals before beyond the 13-note cocktails sticks on a spinet organ, I found it extraordinarily difficult to get it all just so. In fact, first time round I damn' near fell off the bench!

Add to that the situation I'm in at the moment where I can get the C2D out with my 'X' stand in about 3 minutes but it takes the best part of an hour to get the full kit out, I'm struggling a bit with pedals. I think I need to get a better bench and then make some sort of jig to ensure I do it the same way each time.

However, I take comfort from the fact that JS Bach apparently never did heel & toe, and I do have the Stsainer orgsn tutor with pages of pedal exercises in it to work through when I get all the physical stuff sorted (and have some spare time).

I pack up my complete rig into the cases in no more than 10 minutes, into the car packed up another 10 tops.
I find the whole pack down very simple and easy.

Regarding the bench and pedal placement, having the dedicated Nord stand, the bench I made copying the Hammond B3P bench design, there is no prob at all placing tHe pedalboard nor reaching any of the pedals. You need a sturdy wide bench.

I have size 10 1/2EEE feet, so this should show you the clearance for heel and toe technique.

I didn't check your video previously, but yes, I can see very well that even with a bench like the Hercules and the PK 27 you can do it, my only past experience with pedals was on a spinet Hammond organ 20 years ago, so....
