I've check everywhere and can't seem to find a way to adjust the piano velocity curve on the Electro 4D.
I never play a "real" piano, mostly organs & synths.
Hi,
There is a difference between the 4D and other NE4 : on the 4D, you don't have the "Dynamics" setting that is visible on the panel, under the "piano type" button.
On the image under, 4D is on the left.

I re-read pages 9-14 in user manual, but I still could not find a way to change the velocity dymanics as the NE4. It may be my dyslexia.

You're correct about there being no Dynamics button on the NE4D.
But since you said "that is visible"..........
I was wondering if there is a Shift button, Push another button sort of thing not explained in the Manual? (Like a factory adjustment)
I read it again and it sure looks like velocity is either on or off on the 4D, no scaling. Turning the volume up may make it easier on your fingers. Or you could turn velocity off and control volume with a pedal, but that would be less expressive, I think. Good luck.

Nord Stage 3, Electro 5D, 4D, Lead 2x, Moog Voyager, Little and Slim Phatties, Kawai KG-2C 6 foot grand,
I don't understand what you guys are reading. There is no section in the NE4D manual which discusses the adjustment of dynamics or velocity curves. That function does not exist on that instrument. There are no hidden, undocumented secret passageways leading to additional features which Nord engineered into the thing but doesn't want anyone to know about. At least I'm pretty sure there aren't, unless I missed something.
As with other Nords and most technologies, the Electro series is an ongoing evolution. The introduction of the drawbars was one step in that evolution. The expansion of memory areas and additional of variable dynamics were later steps and for this reason do not exist in the NE4D. Perhaps life would have been simpler if the 4D had been named 3D instead, but things didn't happen that way, so we are left with having to deal with these differences in feature sets across the same Electro 4 model line.

If you need velocity adjustment on the NE4D, you can probably get it by turning Local Off and inserting one of these between the MIDI Out and the MIDI In:

WOW.... Now that is thinking outside the box
But I occasionally midi the NE4D to another keyboard.
I probably just need to strengthen my scrawny little fingers and get used to it.
Maybe a future OS update could add

Rereading your OP, you said you hardly play "real" pianos, mostly organ and synth. Organs are not velocity sensitive anyway, so you should have no problems at all there...only on synths.
