synth section - white noise

Hi Guys!
Just checking I'm not going mad here, but am I right in thinking the only way to get pure white noise on an NS2 is to use a sample? I can't find a way of doing it with the oscillator.

That's correct. The included samples sound good though, and fits the purpose well.

The NS2 comes with a white noise and a pink noise sample.
You can get some other scaling noises samples from here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colors_of_noise
or play around with audacity and generate the spectrum you want.

Cheers guys - that's what I thought. Shame they couldn't have included that as an oscillator function, must be a pretty easy mode to program in the software

It would be digitally generated pseudo-random noise in any case, so not much better (if not worse) than a sample
