Hello, sorry for my insufficient English ; this is my first time posting here.
I have a very old Nord Lead 2, I occasionally use it for my gig but not so often.
It was my first time seeing the error message type of things on the screen when I was about to use it on the stage the other day.
It was okay at the rehearsal, but when I was ready to use all the LEDs went out and I saw "1.03" and "NL2" flashing back and forth on the screen.
No sound came out of my Nord. I tried panic button, didn't work. I tried turning switches off and on again and again, didn't work.
I left it for couple of minutes and it worked again!!
Before my performance I left my Nord lead on for probably 1.5hrs on the stage, so I thought it's due to overheating.
or is there any other plausible reasons for this kind of error???? :S
That was my first time seeing it, and I need to use it again in a week, so I am seriously worried.
Any clue to help me?
It sounds okay now, but I am worried if the same thing happens on the stage.
Thank you very very much in advance!

Not idea what that might be, an OS bug? Corrupted memory?
I just read that the final version of the NL2 OS is 1.06. Would it be worth updating it?
You need to order it in a EEPROM (from Clavia or the local distributor)

Pablo Mastodon might suggest something more concrete and insightful than my ramblings

Hi Channie / Mr. G,
It's difficult to diagnose long distance, but those kinds of symptoms are usually indicative of a hardware issue. It is very unlikely that any OS load/install operation will have any effect.
Especially for instruments which are very old, it is possible that oxidation on ribbon connections has accumulated to the point where this is causing some irregularity there. Sometimes a simple cleaning of all of the ribbon connections will help to cure these kinds of problems. The bonus here is that this is the easiest and least expensive possible repair, so if it doesn't work, at least it didn't cost much to try.
If that doesn't do it, then the best recommendation is to have a competent service tech examine it.
Bless,
Pablo
