Re: Help, trying to creat this kinda of lead on lead2x
I have a Lead 3, but the same basic approach should work.
Two oscillators, both sawtooth. Take the second and tune it down by an octave, then fine tune it down a little more. Use an LFO to wobble the pitch on it at 10Hz or so - I set my LFO to "osc 2" and the amount to 0.70. This is a great way to multiply the unison level which I've found lacking in the Lead up against my Stage 2. Then get the unison going, set the filter around 2k and configure your mod envelope as desired.
The main trick I've been using lately is fine tune on the second oscillator. It can take a sound from flat to fat before even starting to bring in the unison. Unison and stacking will fatten it up quite a bit more.
