First post from me (on any forum, possibly ever, come to think of it...) - really love the forum and have used it a lot, thanks for all your contributions!
I have a question about amplification - my band's guitarist recently bought an Atomic CLR powered wedge speaker from the USA:

He runs his Axe-FX guitar amp modeling system through it. He absolutely raved about it, to the extent that I had to try it in a recent rehearsal with my nord. They are supposed to be full range flat response (FRFR) and give a very natural sound which can be heard very clearly, at several angles on the stage, and at relatively low volumes compared to normal speakers. Although I believe they were primarily designed for the precise use my guitarist is employing, they claim they're good for front of house and keyboard amps too.
I only tried it for 5 minutes, but... I was BLOWN away! The sound is SO clear, and frankly makes me want to play it non-stop - the sort of response I only usually have at a grand piano, rather than an electronic instrument. It sounds marginally better than my Weston UM3X in ear monitors (which are beautiful and accurate) but on stage rather than just in my earbuds!
Has anyone else tried one? Anyone have experience at gigging with one? Would be very interested to hear your views before spending $1000 on one (which, based on my 5 minutes with it, I am very close to doing!).
