Spankin' The Nord (Demo)

Post by monsterjazzlicks »

Here is a demo of myself playing live on a gig using my backing tracks and Nord Stage Classic 88. This was made a couple of years ago and was the very first gig i did on the instrument !! So i thought it would be good to film it for a laugh.

I get to travel quite a bit with work. Perhaps next time I have work up your way, I can see if you're available?

Sounds great! What software do you use to put your tracks together and how do you control everything live? I don't see a computer there.

Hi Kojo,

Thanks a lots mate.

If you look closely to the left hand side on the floor you will see my small Sony Walkman mp3 player !!

The tracks were made in the studio with the help of a very good engineer friend of mine. He used Protools for everything. The tracks are loops and samples of Miles Davis compositions.

Paul

Wow, sounds really good Paul, I've been starting to set up similar stuff but with my computer, played around with Logic a lot but recently made the plunge into Ableton and Hardly use Logic anymore. Your playing sounds great too! Very cool stuff!

Best,
Martin.

What about Ableton do you prefer over Logic (which I am just starting to learn how to use)?

Hambone/Mark,

The engineer in the studio who helped me with the editing and mastering etc did it all on Protools on his Mac based system (of which i have no idea how to use). i myself have Cubase Artist 6 which i bought last year and am still very much learning.
