Just a question........
Can the samples used in C2 and beyond be ported back to the C1?
We purchased early on, and spent lots on our rig.
I currently own a Stage 2 88, an Electro 3/73 and the C1.
Love playing the C1, but the organ in the Stage ( C2 ) is much better - but you cannot play it like an organ on the Stage 2.
Currently using C1 as control keyboard for Stage2
++Even a 'dumbed down' version of the C2 would be better than the present C1 sound.
But hey - just askin', hopin', prayin'
Thanks!
Peter.

I'm afraid that what you want wouldn't work. The organ sounds aren't made using samples, but by a simulation of how a tone wheel organ works. Even if you could run the software of the C2 on the C1, it likely wouldn't have the 'horse power' to run it properly. There is no way to magically upgrade a C1 to the organs used on the C2 and the Stage 2.
The Electro 4D and the C2D have an even newer version of the organs than the Stage 2; however, as far as I know this new software has also been made available as a firmware update for the C2 (firmware version 2.0).
It seems to me you're stuck with either your current setup (C1 as a controller for the Stage 2) or you could 'upgrade' your C1 by selling it and getting something else, such as a 2nd hand C2. The Electro 4D or a (2nd hand) Electro 3 might be an option if you don't require dual manuals. No idea if you can use the Electro's with a half moon switch and the pedal keys though.
