Half Moon switch no longer working
I am very careful with my c3, but I gig with it several times a week. somehow a part of the black plastic sleeve of the rotary control input got chipped off. Everything worked fine for about a week, but then over a two day period The half-moon switch stopped working.
The rotary control buttons on the top panel still work fine.
Has anyone else had a problem like this with the rotary control input? I would rather not take my keyboard to the shop because I gig with it almost every day. And I probably cannot afford to pay for parts and labor to get it fixed right now. Any thoughts?
By the way, I do have a suspicion that the problem is in the input and not in the half-moon switch itself… but I'm not sure about that.

Re: Half Moon switch no longer working
Put in a ordonary guitarcable in the rotary control jack
Short the other end
If the speed changes then the input on the organ is fine and the problem is in the switch.

Wouldn't a regular sustain pedal work?flmc59 wrote:Put in a ordonary guitarcable in the rotary control jack

Then the half moon is the main suspect.
Either the cable or the switch
Either the cable or the switch

Re: Half Moon switch no longer working
I tried the guitar cable trip and it does switch speed, which I guess means that a normal sustain total will work for now. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Half Moon switch no longer working
If the plastic was chipped perhaps it was knocked during transport or similar, and I guess that the contacts in the switch might be misaligned?
Maybe worth opening and take a look? You could probably be able to fix it easily with a tester. As far as I know the switch has nothing special in it.

Re: Half Moon switch no longer working
Actually the switches on the Lelsienhalfmoon is the same as a two or thre position switch on a fender guitar same look
