Hi everyone,
I’m having some issues with my Nord Stage 2 SW73 and wanted to check if anyone here has experienced something similar or knows how to fix it.
* The display text is incomplete (for example, “Studio Grand” appears partially).
* The Amp Sim on/off button, Reverb, Compressor, and Rate/Tempo controls are unresponsive during use.
* Interestingly, their states do change when I switch presets, but I can’t control them directly from the hardware (buttons and knobs don’t respond).
* The synth section rotary encoder is also not working.
The synth engine itself seems fine—piano, electric piano, and organ all produce sound correctly.
Has anyone run into this before or knows what might be causing it? And more importantly, is there anything I could try myself to fix it before taking it to a technician?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Nord Stage 2 SW73 – Buttons/Encoders Not Responding + Display Issue
The most likely cause is loss of connection between the motherboard and the control panel. This could be from a liquid spill or oxidation due to aging.
If you feel comfortable doing so, carefully disconnect and reconnect the cables. Be sure to keep the orientation and alignment the same as found originally. Take pictures for your reference.
The display issue might be more difficult. The symptoms you described indicate a loss of connection within the lcd module itself. There's a small chance reseating the cables will fix this, so try that first.
Best of luck!
