Stage 4 Aux keyboard, vibrato/wheel fails

I can see others have struggled, but could not find an answer, so here goes.

1. If I connect from an external keyboard, with everything at midi channel 1 on both the external and NS4, notes, pitch and morph wheel works with a particular synth sound.
2. If I change send channel to 4 (anything not global) on the external keyboard and NS4 global to 4, then notes, pitch and morph wheel works.
3. If I then change NS4 global channel to 1 and NS4 AuxKB to 4, there are no notes and nothing works, which is as expected, since I need to do the following too:
4. I then set -"Aux Keyboard Enable" on NS4 and choose keyboard layers ABC, on the NS4 synth panel. And voila, I get the notes, I get the pitch bend, BUT I DONT GET THE VIBRATO AND MORPH WHEEL ???

Why does it work perfectly fine if I don't enable Aux Keyboard?
Any ideas?
