Nord stage 4 frozen then gone into callibration mode?

Hi everyone

My Nord stage 4 froze, I turned it off and on again then it went into a callibration mode v0.46

I can't factory reset because it now says the ui is not supported in the Nord sound manager?

Ive also tried to just update but it doesnt complete and goes back to the callibration screen. it says that the version is 0.00 when trying to update to 1.64?

Any help would be most appreciated

Hi Tim, Welcome to the Forum!
I'm sorry to hear your having this problem. Usually forum members respond quickly if they have any helpful ideas. Your issue unfortunately appears to be very rare - I don't recall seeing this before, which I think explains the lack of response.

The picture you posted (thanks!) looks like your NS4 either stalled in or is entering a self-test or diagnostic test mode. Have you tried pressing the program buttons aligned with the Mnb, Pnl, Kbd, Sys?

Let us know what you find.

You may try to force it into update mode by powering it on while holding Shift and Store simultaneously (if it works on NS4 as it used to do with previous Stage models)

If this doesn't help, you need to contact the Nord UK distributor and ask for the nearest authorized service center.

Tried to update with the force update but it wouldn’t let me.

The guys at Nord in Milton Keynes have it now and are diagnosing the problem, so in safe hands.

I’ll let you know the outcome, as it is indeed, a rare problem.

Turned out to be a faulty ribbon cable.

All fixed now.

Massive props to Ian at Nord for fixing it for me, legend!
