Help with Lead A1 output routing

Post by Proche3 »

Hi!

My desire is to set ONE performance patch (A35) to have slot C output to output 3 only, in mono. I hit shift+system and navigate towards the end to C, hold shift and select C3. This outputs C to output 3.. But it does this globally.. I want it to be ONLY for this one patch and leave all the others alone.. What am I missing?

Reading Lead A1 manual I understand Output Routing settings are Global (System), not per Program

Thanks. I did read this in the manual. I guess I misunderstood that each of the system, midi, sound and mst clock are per slot, but global. Semantics.. lol Oh well, That's fine, I guess... Any suggestions then if I wanna use a talk box, which wants a mono input and have the stereo synth sound muted to FOH, and only coming out mono from one output when I switch to that patch... The caveat.. without bombing the rest of the performance and slot patches.. Only way I can think is to change this during the performance and then remember to change it back...

Thanks for the reply :)

That's one way, the other I can think of requires the use of a small personal mixer e.g something like a Behringer Q802.

You may assign an individual output to slot C as you initially wanted to and then use a small mixer to keep the overall A1 slots mix consistent, then you can use the mixer FX send to the Talkbox (with the return from it getting into a channel of that same mixer that you will unmute only when you play that patch). But also in this case you have to do some manual action on that song, so... maybe changing it on the fly from the menu is the easier/cheaper.
