The best thing you can do is to open your NE6 (you'll have to do it sooner or later) and check them yourself, or ask the official Nord Distributor for US (who is also supposed to be your parts supplier, directly or via the reseller you purchased your Nord from) or check https://syntaur.com/keyboard.php?brand=31&keyboard=2302 (Normally you should need 5x 12 notes strips and 1x 13 notes strip = 73 notes)

PS: first post on a new forum, no greetings or intro, just the straight request and all in CAPITAL LETTERS...

Hi Mike and welcome to the Forum.
It's unclear why you think you need to replace the key contact strips. This seems a radical repair for such a new instrument (unless it was exposed to extreme heat like in a fire).

If you describe the symptoms your NE6 exhibits, we might be able to suggest some simpler and less costly things to try.

Well, sorry if I did not observe correct protocol on my 1st Forum post / request. I am definitely a Newbie here , my apologies .

So I bought me NE6D-73 used off Reverb late last year & it's been Perfect, but I notice the 'E' natural just above Middle C is starting to play louder than other notes when in 'piano ' patches. It doesn't do this on organ patches as , of course, organ is not velocity sensitive. I'm aware of this happening on other keyboards & there's a lot of on-line discussion.

The contact strips are pretty cheap and available are sold in different lengths so I was just trying to find out before buying. I figured I'd just replace all of them when I got the board opened up.

I appreciate everyone's advice & comments.

Sincerely,

Mike

No problem Mike, guess you are not aware but writing in capital letters is equivalent to shouting, at least according to the generally accepted Netiquette (not just this forum's) :-)

Welcome to NUF! ;)

About your problem, could be the strip but also the underlying contact, before buying new strips I suggest you attempt a simple cleaning (you can find various video tutorials on how to do it, also specific for Nord Electros, just search for "nord electro contact cleaning")

OK - Thanks for all advice & comments. I'll keep pursuing everything & post my progress. 'BTW' , This is my 4th Nord & never a problem with any of them. Guess there's always a 1st time for everything.
