Phone not playing thru mixer.

After a previous post I got a good set of headphones and a small mackie 5 channel mixer. When I connect my iPhone 13 to the mixer , I can hear the nord and also the music from the iPhone to practice with but cannot hear any lyrics from any song. Is there a better way to connect? I’ve tried to plug the phone into every outlet on the mixer. The lyrics are also faint when I run the nord and mixer with external speakers. If I Bluetooth the phone thru a Bluetooth speaker I can hear everything but not with headphones.

Running iPhone thru my mixer. I get the music but the lyrics are very very low. Is there a better way to be able to play with mp3 songs and still hear the lyrics?

I have tried to run the phone thru every plug in the mixer. Even when using headphones thru the mixer I can hear the music but Not the lyrics.

Your description of the problem is very basic. You don't explain what you exactly connected how.

The lead voice should be part of a recording, so if you play back that recording, it should be part of the reproduction. I also don't see a reason why it would have a special frequency that is eliminiated through the mixer. As the lead voice usually is centered, it could be that it is eliminated through phase cancellation if right and left channel are out of phase and you mix everything down to mono (no panning set for the left and right channel).

What happens if you just connect your iPhone with a camera connection kit directly to the Nord's Aux-In plug?

If the music-file you use is OK when you use headphones, then there's nothing wrong with the file.
This next suggestion is to check/swap the cable you use to attach the phone to the mixer. The mixer itself doesn't make any changes with the signal-flow, so most likely it's a cable-issue.
