nord lead a1 patch organization

Post by justinm0rgan »

hey folks,

not new to nord here, been working with the nord stages for years. currently have the stage 4 and loving it.
but new to nord lead a1.
curious how others have organized their patches.
i factory reset and now have program 8 bank blank (50) and performance d blank (50).
i want to create a bunch of usable sounds for messing around with live band stuff whilst writing i.e. some pads, some arp stuff, some leads, some bass tones.
has anyone come up with a structured way to organize it for playing on the fly?
since there is no way to quickly navigate by sound type kind of makes it difficult to do so, i suppose i could reserve first 10 program slots for one type, then another type etc.
after we write as a band typically i will sculpt sounds on my own and then create more complex patches which i could then save as performances.

just curious how others have approached this, bc i don't want to be carrying around a piece of paper telling me what number is what patch lol.
also eventually i plan on creating program changes from the nord stage so i can clearly see what the song is...see i missed the a1 from the nord stage 3..the wave in the stage 4 just doesn't do it for me.

thanks,
