I recently opened up my nord 6d 73 to fix keyboard contacts. When I got it put back together, the middle octave of piano sounds does not work. Everything else seems fine. Organ and synth are ok. Any ideas?
thanks

+1
Every key has 2 contacts: upper and lower. Organ doesn't need velocity, so one contact is enough; piano needs both contacts to calculate velocity through the time lap between both. So you might have set the contact rubber or connected the different contact rubbers in a wrong way.

I recommend double checking the insertion of the cables from the keybed to the motherboard.

Good advice. I found that I needed to offset one of the ribbon connectors to the other side (one ribbon end is shorter).pterm wrote: 07 Aug 2024, 16:14 I recommend double checking the insertion of the cables from the keybed to the motherboard.
Things work fine except I get an error on boot up: - keyboard error = storage failure - press exit
I press exit and all is well. As far as I can tell everything is working as it should.
