Wooden stand for Stage 3 HP76

Post by SmashSam »

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I want to thank you all for your contributions and insights on this forum. Before posting, I searched to see if anyone had previously discussed this topic but couldn’t find anything.

I'm looking for a wooden stand for my Nord Stage 3 HP76. Unfortunately, Nord only manufactures these stands for their 88-key keyboards and not for the 76-key models like mine.

Has anyone here ever found a suitable (and genuine) wooden stand for the HP76? Alternatively, has anyone tried modifying the 88-key stand to fit the 76-key version? If so, was it a difficult process?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Best wishes from Italy!

Hi Sam and welcome to NUF

there is no version for the 76 and given the price of Nord Wooden Stand, I would rather go to a local woodworker and ask him to make you a custom one, using the actual size of the NS3 76 (and based on NWS design, if you like it)

Thank you for the suggestion!

It's interesting to consider having a custom stand made by a local woodworker, especially given the high price of the OEM Nord Wooden Stand.

Has anyone else gone this route and had a custom wooden stand made? If so, I'd love to hear about your experiences and see any photos if you have them. And, does anyone know if there is a technical drawing or blueprint of the OEM stand available? Having detailed plans would help in getting a more accurate custom build based on the original design.

Thanks again for the advice!

There's a number of custom made cases (looking like a grand piano, an upright piano or a Hammond B3 for a NS3Compact/Electro) as well as wooden stands on the forum. Unfortunately, I don't know how to find them.

Key question in my eyes is how to fix the instrument to the stand - in most cases (I think) it's not fixed, just surrounded by something so that it won't slip away.

BTW, most solutions I've seen omit the lid.

I found something: It's as simple as searching for "custom stand" on the forum!
