I've had my Electro 3 for about a decade and am generally happy with it (certainly would like the authentic drawbars - perhaps on an upgrade).
Suddenly I can't hear any piano side sounds (Grand, Upright, E Piano, Curly, Claw/Harpsichord, Sample Library), but when I switch to Organ the sounds are playing back normally. Reinstalled OS 3.14 and installed a factory presets restore (V3.0 Rev A) via Nord Sound Manager but still no luck.
I went through the system #2 setting to make sure I hadn't changed anything on the routing outputs. Still crickets....
Is there a setting for organ trigger point (high, low)? I remember some people having problems, because the lower connector was dirty. In this case it would mean ALL low connectors are malfunctioning.
In case you're not familiar: velocity sensitive sounds (piano ans sample) need both connectors, but organ only needs one. By default I think it's high, but it can be changed to low.
Not sure if this applies to Electro 3, but newer models and Stage at least. Several dicussions on the forum.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
The likeliest thing was the System#2 SO setting, but you already checked that.
It seems like you are running amplification. Please check the headphone jack to see if any piano heard there.
Another idea: disconnect all control and sustain pedals - if these get mixed up / inserted into the wrong jack on the Nord, strange audio behaviour might occur.
As Elias suggested, this has been encountered on a single key where the velocity information gets lost.
I'm not sure of the Nord circuit topology, but if Nord separates the keybed's velocity sensors onto a separate cable coming from the keybed, this might indicate a loose cable inside your Nord.
Please let us know what you find and good luck!

Often this can be caused by a pedal (or done other cable that could be shorted eg) plugged into the control or swell connector that looks like it is at volume 0. Then the B3 organ will sound but nothing else.
Do you have sound for all other types of only the B3?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Try checking the system menu #2 (Output Routing Menu -- check the manual for how to do this). If the setting is "SO" (separated output) change it to "St" (stereo).

Wait! I'm having the same problem but I don't have my sustain pedal plugged in. Any other suggestions? I already did the factory reset.
Hi, I have the same problem with my Electro 3. My Nord plays the Piano sound again if I connect a Volume Sweller Pedal to the Control Pedal Connection and Swell to „Full Volume“ (press down forward). Strangely, sometimes it also works when I connect my sustain pedal to the Control Pedal Connection and press a few times on the pedal. Maybe worth a try
I also had the problem that I lose the piano sound completely during playing (same workaround helps as described above). Try connecting the pedal before starting up.
