I have a starting problem with the Nord Stage 1 of a customer of mine (I am a pro tech located in Belgium)
The display shows "OS version 5.08" then all is frozen at 0% (let's say it starts 1 time on 20).
When I internally disconnect the right board (panel 2), it starts without a problem (100%).
I did all the test programs and everything is OK with Flash, buttons, DSP, etc.
Then I am thinking of a weak power supply (This unit is from 2005.) but I would like to be sure before order a new one...
I had a similar periodical issue with mine, when it started, all led lights was glowing, and no sound or display. It was a bad connection in one of the flatcables. I gave the connectors a shot with some good contact cleaner, and never had any problem with it later.
yannluaudio wrote:I am sure the problem doesn't come from the cable because I swapped the cables between main boards and both panels and the issue still remains.
Swapping the cables may not be enough if the problem is on the connectors and not the wires side, have you also cleaned both the cable and the board connectors contacts (with an appropriate contact cleaner)?

I have double checked connectors and the flat cables.
I noticed this : when the unit is cold, it starts with no problem but when it is running from a while I turn it off and directely turn it on, the problem occurs...
Are the main board and panel board identical in the Nord Stage 1 and the Nord STAGE 76EX ?
I am asking because I will have a 76EX and I am think to swap boards to isolate the faulty board on the Stage 1.
