Using electro as a sound module with Logic ProX
Does anybody know if you can use Electro 6 as an external sound module, driven via MIDI from a DAW like Logic ProX?

Hi David
and a very warm welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthusiasts. As far as your question is concerned I‘d say yes, but not very versatile. You can only play two sounds in parallel, no drum sets or basses or brass which you may have in mind if you come from Roland or Korg workstations that can be controlled on up to 16 MIDI channels simultaneously to cover the whole „orchestra“. A nord‘s strength is its direct access to all potis and knobs and therefore all sound parameters at once - which, linked to a DAW, appears useless. What are your aims?

The strenght of your Electro would be easy sound shaping. But then, your programmes would change every now and then - and your DAW doesn't know anything of that evolution. It's up to you to provide a selectable programme list from the Electro inside your DAW.
