Next Step Up RCF TT515A
Next Step Up RCF TT515A
For those who can't swing the $3,000 for the TT10A, check out the new RCF TT515A. $1,800 22 Lbs, super small/slim form factor. I have a single TT10A and I A/B ed them side by side. They sound exactly the same at medium volumes! Of course the 130dB TT10A is louder with more headroom on the gain knob. Very impressed with the sound/technology they have squeezed into this small box!

Thanks for sharing, I'm always interested in new speakers, and I hadn't seen this one. I think it would be great for stage monitoring, as it looks like it can fit in a rack. It also would work as a nice, compact PA for more intimate gigs. Frequency response is good down to 100Hz and then it drops off a cliff (5" drivers!), so you will want a sub nearby for most applications.
I haven't used stage monitoring in years, as I'm 100% IEMs. My favorite pair set me back $55. I use a Bose L1 today in the places where I'd be interested in this unit. And then there's the price -- ouch!

I have you to thank for turning me on to the excellence of the RCF line! I was very happy with my QSC K8.2 until I read your many detailed posts on the RCF TT08. I ended up getting the TT10 for the extra head room, Keyboard/Electronic Drummer here. Never regretted the purchase. I describe the TT10 as a studio monitor with incredible clarity, actually the best that I have ever heard in a PA, that never distorts or gets harsh up to its max 130db! I would have today many thousands of dollars in the bank if I had never read those posts:) Agree, this new speaker definitely need a small sub to get full range sound. Their matching 808 sub is $2,400! I am happy with my $900 Bose Sub1. This new speaker basically takes the place of the TT08 with very similar performance but with an incredible slim profile/light weight. Thanks again for your 20+ page post/purchasing advice!
