Shift button not working right away ns3 compact

I've had it for a few years. It's a beast as we all know and a tank. It can take some usage. However, I have noticed suddenly my shift/exit button is not reacting immediately when I press it. I have tried hard, soft, undulating angles, tapping rapidly, and it seems to take 5 to 10 seconds of this, sometimes more, to get it to react. Honestly not sure if it's a hardware issue or a software issue. It does seem to work immediately when i use it as the shift option for kets say- accessing the intern section. No issues there. But when exiting that area, and all others requiring the shift button, it seems to take some rigid hard taps to get it to react.
Anyone else experience this? Has anyone found any legit solutions? It seems like a spring failure of some type, but maybe someone has some more input. Thanks in advance you guys.

I haven't had that problem fortunately. The fact that it works immediately for a certain function leads me to believe it's not the shift button, however I don't know the hardware and whether the button is dual pole where one is not working properly. Your local Nord service might be able to tell you more. A loose connection inside is a possibility, however easiest to check would be the software side and reloading the Operating System and see if that helps. Good luck to you!

I would exclude a software problem. The pattern you have noticed where it takes more force/time to exit menus than to enter them may collapse into 50/50 if you try reproducing the issue over and over.
There have been reports on bad buttons. The shift is one of the most used, so it makes sense that it would start exhibiting problem first. J have had my NS3 for 3 years and the main rotary encoder has already started missing a "click" sometimes when I rotate it. It happens like once in 200-300 times, but it's there. If you feel OK opening the board I would give it a try before sending it to service, unless it's still under warranty.
Anyway can you post a video of the issue happening?
